World Cocktail Championships 2014

World Cocktail Championships 2014

Image Solutions Photography and Design was recently asked to be the event photographer for the World Cocktail Championships 2014 held at the CTICC in Cape Town. The task was to capture one of the clients as their brand participated as well as public participation and enjoyment of the brand. The clients name is FABBRI. As with all events of this calibre, my approach has always bee to capture the moment as it happens. As event photographer, I was completely surprised by a sport that I have never been part of. The disciplines involved and the preparation that goes into such a world class event. All I could do was stand with my mouth wide open as the contenders did their bar flairing and ix their cocktails at the same time. Amazing does not describe the championships. As event photographer, this was one of the highlights of my year. Sadly I did not have a drop of alcohol. What is even worse was that it was all free!!

Thanks goes out to my good friends Andrew & Nicki from Silverline Productions for tasking Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the event photographer for this occasion.

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2014

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2014

BDO held their annualy cocktails and canapes at the Raddisson Blu Hotel Waterfront and asked Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the photographer for the afternoon. This has been the third year that BDO has asked us to be the photographer, and it was indeed a great honour to capture the moments of all the guests as they mingled and exchanged business. As a photographer, environments like these always present very interesting images as the guests are always so engrossed in their respective conversations. This makes for true expressions and no fake smiles as is so often seen with photographs. As a photographer, those honest moments are what I live for.

Brandhouse Conference Photographer

BRANDHOUSE CONFERENCE PHOTOGRAPHY

Image Solutions Photography and Design were contacted to be the photographer for the Brandhouse gathering that recently took place in Cape Town.

Brandhouse recently took the opportunity to introduce their new General Manager to the long list of accolades that already adorn the walls of Brandhouse. The event was held across from their offices in Cape Town at the River Club on Mobray. The who’s who within Brandhouse were represented and it was a wonderful gathering of likeminded individuals sharing their experiences over food and laughter.

The day started off with a relaxed coffee and tea and some snacks followed by the conference. The room was packed with not only the guests, but also tastefully adorned by all the products that Brandhouse represents. All is a wonderful and colourful setting. After the questions and answer session, all the guests were treated to a whole buffet of finger licking foods.

Thanks goes out to all the Brandhouse employees as well as Hans de Villiers from Knights Catering for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the photographer and capture the moments and events as they unfolded.

Sibongile Manganyi UCT Graduate School of Business Presentation

Sibongile Manganyi Presentation at the UCT Graduate School of Business

Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked by Sibongile Manganyi (businesswoman of the year 2012) to do be the  conference photographer for her presentation recently given at the UCT Graduate School of Business in the Waterfront Cape Town. It was a huge success with a great turnout. Lots was learned for any young entrepaneur wanting to start (or already has) their own business. Sibongile is such a casual comfortable speaker, and as a conference photographer in my mind, her enthusiasm and drive is addictive.

GMP Mining Jamboree 2013

GMP Mining Jamboree 2013

GMP held their annual mining jamboree at Arabella Hotel and Spa andImage Solutions Photography and Design was tasked again to be the conference photographer over the three days the conference was held.

All started very relaxed with a golf day where some participants could unwind on the beautiful golf course that Arabella is so well known for.

As always, Clinical Meetings under the directorship of Saul Shanagher, made sure that weekend was packed full of fun and entertainment. Following a vey successful jamboree in 2012, this year proved to even more spectacular. With a bigger crowd and more delegates, the evening festivities also had to be stepped up a notch and they did not miss a beat.

Being the conference photographer for the entire weekend, I was supremely impressed with what Clinical Meetings came up with. CAn you imagine that the weekend included a huge marquee tent on the first fairway, a fashion show, fire dancers, contortionists, spit barbecues and even comedic entertainment to name but a few events. As conference photographer, I am sure that at this rate, 2014 will promise to be something magical. I wonder what they will think of next.

Thanks again goes out to Clinical Meetings and Saul Shanagher for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the conference photographer for the weekend.

GMP Mining Jamboree 2012

GMP Mining Jamboree 2012

GMP Mining Securities in partnership with Clinical Meetings contacted Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the conference photographer for their annual mining jamboree held at the Arabella Hotel and Spa in Kleinmond recently.

The mining jamboree is focused at leading mining CEO’s and companies in the mining industry to connect with others in the industry and discuss possible futures.

As conference photographer, I always find such events extremely fascinating and interesting. As someone who knows very little about the mining industry, there is much to learn!

Clinical Meetings, under the direction of Saul Shanagher had the entire weekend organised and spared no expense and as the conference photographer they helped me all the way. Festivities were ample with everything from fire dancers to stilt walkers. The atmosphere in the evenings was like a carnival with delicious foods and drinks with no end. The guests could truly escape the hard work of the day with a relaxing time catching up with collegues and at the same time be impressed with the entertainment.

Over the course of the two days, the schedule and program was jam packed, but all worked out well under the guidance of Saul Shanagher. Tony Blair even made a surprise visit all the way from England!

Thanks again to Clinical Meetings for contacting mage Solutions Photography and Design to be the conference photographer for this amazing event.

AIPSA 2nd Annual Insolvency Conference

AIPSA 2nd Annual Insolvency Conference

The Association of Insolvency Practitioners of Southern Africa held their annual conference at the Raddisson Blu Hotel Waterfront recently and Image Solutions Photography and Design were asked to be the conference photographer for the conference.

This was the 2nd annual conference for AIPSA and the turnout could not have been better.

As conference photographer, my job was to document the program as it unfolded. As a conference photographer I was not new to the events of the day, but I was definately surprised at the number of guests and their valuable input to conference.

The conference was held in a beautiful setting on the waters edge at the Raddisson Blu Hotel Waterfront. Tea breaks were spent smelling fresh sea breezes and eating wonderful canape’s.

Being the conference photographer allowed me to see the conference from a persepctive that was difficult for the guests to imagine, but made easy with all the friendly faces and generous hospitality afforded to me by AIPSA.
