Bravura Year End Function 2012

Bravura Year End Function 2012

Bravura held their year end function at Arabella Hotel & Spa recently and contacted Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for the big evening.

Bravura is a niche independent investment banking firm with a specific focus on corporate finance advisory services, financial structuring and making principal investments making being a function photographer for their big day even that much more challenging.

Arabella has always been a wonderful setting to have any year end function and in this case, Bravura impressed with a wonderful line up. Being the function photographer was awesome as the guests were extremely accommodating and participating in all the fun that the evening had to offer. Image Solutions Photography and Design even set up a studio for the guests where they could pose for even more photographs without the formalities that usually goes with year end functions.

The evening was a huge success with all enjoying the wonderful food and drinks and also the entertainment provided by Goldfish. The team at Bravura was a fun bunch of people and I would definitely enjoy helping them out in the future with whatever they plan to do. Visit Bravura on their website if you need any more information regarding what they can assist you with.

Thanks goes out to Lizelle Grobler from Bravura for helping with the organising and making sure that the evening was a success.

Chateau Libertas Tabernakel Wine Tasting

Chateau Libertas Tabernakel Wine Tasting

Chateau Libertas wines took the rare opportunity to sample some of the old wines and Image Solutions Photography and Design was tasked to be the function photographer for the big opening.

Chateau Libertas keeps all their very rare age old wines at the Tabernakel. It could be considered a deposit for all the fine old wines that Distell produces or has received as donation over the years. It is a temperature controlled crypt to ensure the lifespan of the wines stores there.

The wines that were tasted today was the very rare old Chateau Libertas wines some dating back to 1932 to see how these wines have held up against the years.

As function photographer, this was a rare privilege not be missed. To have some of the original wine makers there present and being able to tell us what was done back then when they were bottled was indeed an amazing experience.

Being the function photographer for the big opening, was great because it allowed me to capture the moments as these fine old wines were opened and tasted for the first time in more than 60 years!

Thanks goes out to Marlise Potgieter from DKC (De Kock Communications) for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for this once in a lifetime occasion.

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2012

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2012

BDO asked Image Solutions Photography and Design to again be the function photographer for their annual mining indaba cocktail afternoon held at the Raddisson Blu Hotel Waterfront.

It was wonderful seeing the same faces as the year before, and some new faces, and being able to be the function photographer for such a wonderful relaxed event.

Sue Boniface was gracious as usual and offered me all the assistance I needed during the function. I even had the opportunity to do some impromptu portraits of all of the directors while they were having their cocktails with some of the distinguished guests.

It was indeed again a great afternoon and the success that BDO has achieved can be seen through functions like these.

As the function photographer it was indeed my honour to be asked again to photograph the guests in what can only be described as a little gem on the waterfront in Cape Town. Calm and peaceful with only the splashing of the waves in the background and the laughter of the guests in conversation.

Zonnebloem Media Wine Tasting at Roundhouse

Zonnebloem Media Wine Tasting at Roundhouse

Zonnebloem wines held a wine tasting for the media and Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked to be the function photographer for the day.

The function was a also a means to get the grape producers from Stellenbosch who’s farms are responsible for producing the grapes to be present at the tasting. This way, the media could also get to know the farmers, but also get to know the wine makers personally.

The setting was at the beautiful Roundhouse situated on the edge of Lions Head overlooking the entire Camps Bay making it breathtaking from a function photographer perspective. The day was made even more special by dining on the fine cuisine that Roundhouse has to offer.

As function photographer, I could see that the day was a great success. Thanks goes out to Marlise Potgieter from DKC (De Kock Communications) for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for the event.

Du Toitskloof Wines & Checkers Prize Give Away

Du Toitskloof Wines & Checkers Prize Give Away

Du Toitskloof Wines in association with Checkers invited Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the event photographer for their live drawing of the VW Polo they were giving away.

The competition for those clients from Checkers who had purchased Du Toitskloof Wines over the period that the competition ran. It was a small drawing with only a few key people from Du Toitskloof Wines and Checkers present, but the atmosphere was exciting.

As event photographer, I could feel the excitement build every time a number was drawn from the bag to finally make up who the winner was. Of course the winner had to be phoned right away as well. One could just hear the reception as the good was news was given to the winner!

Being the event photographer was indeed a special feeling covering this wonderful gesture. Thanks goes out to Linda Christensen from DKC (De Kock Communications) for using Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the event photographer.

Two Oceans Wines Media Cook-Off

Two Oceans Wines Media Cook-Off

Two Oceans Wines under the organisational and media skills of DKC, contacted Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the event photographer for a wonderful cook-off against the media individuals that attended.

As event photographer, this was probably one of the more exciting events I had ever been to. The setting was in a cooking classroom in on of the Cape Town schools. The guests had to group together in different teams to create a mouth watering dish that would accompany a specific Two Oceans Wine. They only had a limited time to prepare their dishes.

As event photographer, I found myself running around to capture all the happenings at the different stations while everybody was frantically preparing their dishes.

The day was a great success and even the chef and DKC judges were extremely impressed with the delightful results that came from the teams.

Thanks goes out to Marlise Potgieter from DKC (De Kock Communications) for asking Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the event photographer for this wonderful cook-off.

Engen Dealer & Retailer of the Year Awards 2011

Engen held their annual Dealer & Retailer of the Year Awards for 2011 and Image Solutions Photography was tasked again to be the function photographer for the evening.

It was great seeing familiar faces and also a lot of new faces to the function. Being the function photographer was once again an honour and the feelings of friendliness and family at the function was something a function photographer can find hard presses not to photograph.

The venue was stunning, the decor was amazing and the guests were incredible. As a function photographer, this event was even better than the year before. Thanks goes out to Engen for being such a gracious host and congratulations goes out to all the recipients of all the awards.

The mining indaba is a huge get together of all those involved in the mining industry to discuss what has been happening and to brainstorm with regards to the future of mining in africa.

As a function photographer, I always enjoy functions like these. Awesome people coming together to enjoy an afternoon in the company of like minded people. What more can you ask for. There were smiles all around and lovely snack and drinks for the guests to enjoy.

As a function photographer, the light was awesome and going into the late afternoon, the scene presented by the setting sun over the waters of table bay was something that was hard to ignore. Thanks goes out to BDO for organising the cocktail event and asking Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for the afternoon.
