Sibongile Manganyi UCT Graduate School of Business Presentation

Sibongile Manganyi Presentation at the UCT Graduate School of Business

Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked by Sibongile Manganyi (businesswoman of the year 2012) to do be the  conference photographer for her presentation recently given at the UCT Graduate School of Business in the Waterfront Cape Town. It was a huge success with a great turnout. Lots was learned for any young entrepaneur wanting to start (or already has) their own business. Sibongile is such a casual comfortable speaker, and as a conference photographer in my mind, her enthusiasm and drive is addictive.

Metcash Australia South African Getaway

METCASH AUSTRALIA

Metcash Australia held their yearly “thank you” bash. Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked to be the function photographer for the event. This year, Cape Town was chosen as the destination and no expense was spared. It all started with a cocktail at the Table Bay Hotel in the Waterfront with Table Mountain as the majestic background. On Saturday the party, and the function moved over to “Die Kasteel” with true Cape Town fashion and style. There were “Kaapse Klopse” and guys on stilts. The party was electric in true cape colonial style! What an awesome event for being  function photographer. Thanks must go out to the Directions team from Australia and the Dragonfly team from South Africa for organising this fantastic event and for asking me to be the function photographer for them.

My approach to being the function photographer for this function, was to capture the feeling of the guests and their reaction to what has been prepared for them by all who took part in the organising.

Orange Grove Farm Cottages Decor

Orange Grove Farm Cottages Decor

Image Solutions Photography and Design was recently asked to be the decor photographer and take pictures of all the cottages at Orange Grove Farm.

Although Image Solutions Photography and Design had done this before for Orange Grove Farm, many years had passed and there were certain changes to the cottages that needed additional images.

It was wonderful being able to spend time in the cottages and I was again just amazed by the interior design ideas that Orange Grove Farm used for their decor. The cottages are all beautifully decorated and designed in order for any guest to truly escape when staying over. All the cottages overlook the farm wit the valley disappearing in the distance and sun setting over the mountains. Truly spectacular.

British American Tobacco Roadshow 2013

British American Tobacco Roadshow 2013

British American Tobacco held their annual roadshow at their offices in Stellenbosch and Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked to be the event photographer for the big event.

Annually, British American Tobacco holds a roadshow to talk about their products and what the market is doing regarding the use and selling of tobacco products. As event photographer, it was my job to capture the feel and essence of the roadshow. I had never been to a roadshow beforem but the staff and organising team, were extremely helpful and it made the event a pleasure to capture on my camera. I was glad to see the staff participation with regards to questions and concern they had regarding changes in the industry and all questions and needs were adressed.

As always, British American Tobacco spared no expense in making their staff feel comfortable and relaxed with canape’s and drinks.

As event photographer, I felt the day was a huge success with everyone enjoying the day and pointing their new focus towards making British American Tobacco the number one company to work for.

Thanks goes out to Heste Stipp for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to help out with the event photography.

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2013

BDO Mining Indaba Cocktails 2013

BDO held their annual mining indaba cocktail afternoon with Image Solutions Photography and DEsign being tasked to be the function photographer for the afternoon.

It has become a regular event every year for BDO to invite the mining industry to join them for cocktails at the Raddisson Blu Hotel Waterfront and to build more business relationships.

As the function photographer for the event, I have come to see the passion that BDO has towards their guests and more importantly their clients. The team at BDO have been so gracious towards Image Solutions Photography and Design, that I feel they have become part of the family.

The afternoon was a great success with wonderful canape’s and cocktails enjoyed by all the guests who managed to attend. BDO has always chosen the most perfect setting which makes the photographs look even better.

The way BDO seems to run things is sure to make 2014 a bigger and better event than this year’s already wonderful turnout.

GMP Mining Jamboree 2013

GMP Mining Jamboree 2013

GMP held their annual mining jamboree at Arabella Hotel and Spa andImage Solutions Photography and Design was tasked again to be the conference photographer over the three days the conference was held.

All started very relaxed with a golf day where some participants could unwind on the beautiful golf course that Arabella is so well known for.

As always, Clinical Meetings under the directorship of Saul Shanagher, made sure that weekend was packed full of fun and entertainment. Following a vey successful jamboree in 2012, this year proved to even more spectacular. With a bigger crowd and more delegates, the evening festivities also had to be stepped up a notch and they did not miss a beat.

Being the conference photographer for the entire weekend, I was supremely impressed with what Clinical Meetings came up with. CAn you imagine that the weekend included a huge marquee tent on the first fairway, a fashion show, fire dancers, contortionists, spit barbecues and even comedic entertainment to name but a few events. As conference photographer, I am sure that at this rate, 2014 will promise to be something magical. I wonder what they will think of next.

Thanks again goes out to Clinical Meetings and Saul Shanagher for contacting Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the conference photographer for the weekend.

Neethlingshof Media Wine Launch

Neethlingshof Media Wine Launch

Neethlingshof had a wine launch recently and Image Solutions Photography and Design was asked to be the function photographer for the launch.

The launch was held at the Kirstenbosch Gardens as the wine launch was based on the fauna and flora found at Neethlingshof Wine Estate.

Under the guidance of master wine maker De Wet Viljoen, The Caracal, The Six Flowers and the Owl Post was born as tribute to the fauna and flora found at Neethlingshof WIne Estate. As the function photographer, it was a wonderful setting with the beauty of fine wines and nature surrounding us. As function photographer, it allowed me to capture the moments enjoyed by the media to taste and revel in the delights that the wines offered.

Thanks goes out to Marlise Potgieter from DKC (De Kock Communications) for organising the function and asking Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for the afternoon.

Orange Grove Farm 200th Birthday

Orange Grove Farm 200th Birthday

Image Solutions Photography and Design was recently asked to be the function photographer capture the essence of the 200th birthday of Orange Grove Farm.

It was indeed a small and intimate function with close friends and guests attending. The setting was in one of the many beautiful self catering cottages that Orange Grove Farm boasts. It was indeed a beautiful day and the guests could revel in the stunning sunset while sipping some of the wine that is produced by using the grapes from the farm.

Carlos made a very touching speech telling the guests about what have happened in the past and  what will come in the future.

The progress at Orange Grove Farm in the last few years have been incredible, and and function photographer, I foresee a bright future for Orange Grove Farm under the watchful guidance of Carlos Araujo.

Siphamandla Buthelezi Alan Gray Photoshoot

The Mail & Guardian contacted Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the portrait photographer for the photoshoot with Siphamandla Buthelezi for their issue on prominent businessmen. Siphamandla Buthelezi works at the Alan Gray offices in Cape Town.

Being the portrait photographer, it was my job to make Siphamandla feel as comfortable as possible during the photo session. At first he seemed nervous, but being a portrait photographer, I managed to make him feel at ease and relaxed which shows in the photographs.

As portrait photographer, I notices that he had a great confidence about him and a strong smile making it difficult not to look good in the photographs. That being said, he was very glad when the shoot was over.

He’s quite a confident person and I can actually see him oozing it in these pictures. I was actually hoping to steal them but your site doesn’t allow that but you did a great job I must say.

Kind regards
Pearl (Siphamandla’s girlfriend)

British American Tobacco Hennie Dippenaar Retirement Function

British American Tobacco Hennie Dippenaar Retirement Function

British American Tobacco contacted Image Solutions Photography and Design to be the function photographer for the retirement function for Hennie Dippenaar.

Hennie has been with British American Tobacco for a very long and it was wonderful to see the thank you and good bye that Hennie received when British American Tobacco threw him this farewell retirement function. It was a small yet intimate function with some of Hennie’s close close family and work colleagues.

Being the function photographer felt like such an honour as Hennie and the rest of his family were so very gracious and thankful towards British American Tobacco for all their years of support towards him and the chance that he had to make a change in the company.

Thanks goes out to Erilene Ferreira from British American Tobacco for organising the function and making sure all went to plan.

Being a function photographer, I could see that the evening was a great success and as everyone said, Hennie will be missed!
